Ecology: This large frugivore inhabits humid montane forest and cloud-forest at 1,500-3,000 m , and regularly to 1,200 m in Lambayeque. It is usually seen in pairs, or small groups of three or four. Es visto por lo general en parejas o pequeños grupos de tres o cuatro.
